The entire world wept after the tragic events of September 11, 2001. Nearly 3,000 people lost their lives that day when the two towers collapsed. We lost friends and family when the Pentagon was hit. We lost brothers and sisters who bravely sacrificed their lives to bring down a plane in a Pennsylvania field. Each year, despite the heartache, we continue to honor their lives and pay tribute to their memories.
Even though many years have passed, it still feels as though the tragedies of September 11th transpired just yesterday. Our wounds are still healing and there are still so many unanswered questions that remain.
But one thing we can know for certain is the amazing grace we receive from our Lord and Savior each and every day. Whether we are feeling heartache or anger, we can always turn to God in our time of need. It is within Him that we find our true hope, healing, joy and restoration.
Let this beautiful memorial tribute fill you with hope for our great nation and look towards a brighter future. May we never forget these tragic events but learn to love one another, as Christ loves us.
2 Corinthians 12:9 “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”
