An epic video is going viral this week showing a no-nonsense
mother completely take down a punk who tries to steal her car in
New York City.
Tihisha Jones, 49, was getting ready to drive her son to school in the
Melrose section of The Bronx when she noticed the criminal in the
driver’s seat of her vehicle. She was just about to enter the car
herself when she discovered the man in the driver’s seat playing
with the ignition to try and start the car.
The mother did not hesitate to leap to action.
“He’s lucky I didn’t him,” Tihisha said. “That’s the thing. He’s lucky I
didn’t him.”
She first opened the passenger door to confront the suspect, since
identified as Bernado Santiago, 19, but he responded by closing the
door on her. Undeterred, Tihisha ran back over to the driver’s side
and proceeded to pull the man out of her car before throwing him
on the ground. She then held him there while waiting for police to
arrive.
“I came to the side to get him out this way, but I couldn’t get him out
this way — he pulled the door to close it on me,” she recounted. “I
jumped across the car, open this door and I pull him out and then
after that, I couldn’t tell you what happened. I just had to do what I
had to do.”
