We have just got married, it will be five months soon. One of my mother-in-law’s friends from the village invited us to their house. I went there in a very good mood, because I love village people and life there. In short, I was in a very good mood and I was sure that I would spend a good time there, especially there were young brides like me, I would get to know them, I would communicate.
We decided to have coffee and around the coffee table, that woman, said to my mother-in-law, “Anie, you did not see those good girls of our village, that you brought a bride from the city.” She said that and started laughing as if she was joking. Imagine my situation at that time. I was very upset, as if they say that they don’t like you.
My mother-in-law also noticed my situation and replied to this woman by saying: first I don’t bring a bride, my son loved and so I accepted his choice and loved my doughter-in-law. It doesn’t matter if she is a girl from the village or city, my daughter-in-law is such an educated girl that she knows how to behave in any environment”. I was very happy and proud with that answer.
