Rusty and Anna have always helped dogs in need. Hence, they have always raised dogs from a shelter. A few years ago they decided to get a Hero, a pit bull/stuffy/boston terrier mix.
The elderly dog was abused and was rescued by a group called Pit Crew Rescue in Sacramento, California. When the couple decided to adopt the Hero, they began to bond with the dog.
Not a single person has fallen in love with a cute dog. He had the sweetest smile and was a very affectionate and playful dog. But when they adopted him, the couple wanted to know if their family dog, Hero Sugar Bear, would accept.
The two dogs instantly became friends and the couple adopted Hero. Sweet Pitbull just wanted to be loved. He wanted Rusty to constantly stroke him, and when he stopped, the Hero would start pushing him, reminding him that he was there.
The pit bull never kissed people, so his father came up with a brilliant idea. Rusty took the hamburger, took out the meat, and smeared it on his lips. Then he got very close to the Hero to smell him. From that day on, the Hero only kissed his father.
The Hero has always had a great bond with his father. All the foster dogs the couple kept knew the thud of their father’s car and were immediately alarmed. He felt pure joy every time he came home. He received hugs and kisses.
