I came home from work in the evening, saw my daughter-in-law, turned on the vacuum cleaner and quickly cleaned the house. She probably sat by the phone all day and saw that I was coming home soon and started cleaning.

I told her the day was over, ”you’ll do it tomorrow”. Instead of being ashamed she got upset and said that we should live separately so that neither you would see my faults nor control me. And that really shocked me.
